REWORKED BURLAP CORSET — ONE OF ONE

A reconstructed piece built from contrast and tension — structure vs. decay, control vs. chaos.

This corset began as a pre-existing base and was transformed through hand-applied screen printing, raw burlap patchwork, and metal hardware detailing. The graphic sits heavy in the center, distorted and confrontational, framed by frayed edges and exposed stitching. No attempt was made to clean the process — the imperfections are intentional.

Each burlap panel is cut and placed by hand, carrying remnants of its past life. The spikes add weight and edge, pushing the piece into something more armored than delicate. It’s not meant to feel soft — it’s meant to feel lived in.

Fit:
Adjustable through back lacing. Best for a range of sizes depending on desired tightness. Small-Medium 

Condition:
Reworked from an existing corset. Signs of wear, distressing, and irregularities are intentional and part of the design.

Concept:
This piece represents transformation — taking something structured and reshaping it through pressure, damage, and intention. Nothing is wasted. Everything is rebuilt.
